My School Year Goals

Setting goals for ourselves is very important.  As teachers we are always setting goals.  For some reason, I have no problem setting goals for and with others, yet I forget to follow up on my own goals.  We all have professional development goals, but making your own without a rubric is very meaningful.  I am so excited that Jess from I <3 Recess is hosting such a thoughtful linky.

What are your 2014-2105 goals?

  1. Guided reading is a continuing goal of mine, too. I found I was most successful when I focused on one -group at a time and recycled plans as time went on. I'm looking forward to continuing with that and building on my plans!

    1. Thanks, Jess! It is amazing how many great resources I have; it is just so hard to find the ones I want when I need them!

  4. These are awesome goals! I really need to keep my flash drive organized as well so I can find what I am looking for! Good luck with your goals this year!

  5. Even though my goals don't align with yours, they totally could have. I also would love to get back into yoga, do more with GR, and do a better job with interactive notebooks this coming year (we started the notebooks mid-year). Good luck!

    1. Thank you for the support Mary! Yoga seems to be my saving grace. I seem to stray away when times get busy, but it is the one thing I should be doing when things get crazy.

  6. We seem to have very similar goals! Especially the interactive notebooks! You've inspired me to think about my goals too!

  7. This is a great reminder (as I catch up on reading blogs I’ve subscribed to). I need to get back and revisit some of the files I have stored as well. Health is always of the utmost to me but I know I need to pay attention to what I do… Thanks!
